This grand Victorian house stands on a hillside on the south of Skye. A recent refurbishment has bestowed the hotel with bold colours, magnificent modern touches and chic styling.
The striking modern decor complements the magnificent original features of the building. Each bedroom is unique in both decor and layout, and an elegant lounge with a high ceilings and log fire overlooks the gardens.
Exclusive daily sailing trips in the hotel’s private yacht are available Monday to Saturday, from April to September.
The hotel offers excursions to the Sound of Sleat, Loch Hourn, Loch Nevis, the Isle of Rhum or Sandaig Island. Lunch on board is included, and the chance to sail in the company of whales, porpoises, seals and otters adds a magical element.

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, a fixed amount of GBP 50.00 will be charged. If cancelled later, the first night will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Award-winning chefs carefully select the best local produce and lovingly prepare fabulous à la carte menus. The restaurant is intimate, candlelit and atmospheric with a log fire burning on dark winter nights. Fresh local seafood, lamb, beef and venison all feature on the menus and are accompanied by herbs, salads and vegetables from the Duisdale garden. There is a well-chosen wine list and a fine selection of malt whiskies. Enjoy traditional Skye ale in the Chart Room.
In the afternoons, tea, coffee and cappuccino with homemade scones or traditionally made shortbread are served.
By Car
- Drive to Kyle of Lochalsh, cross the Skye Bridge and at the turning on your left marked A851, turn towards Armadale.
- Continue along the road for approximately 7 miles to Duisdale. The hotel will be clearly signed on your right.
Via Mallaig:
- On arrival at Armadale, drive to Duisdale and the hotel is on your left.
